2025 Kia Stonic price and specs

The updated 2025 Kia Stonic range has now been detailed, with the Australian lineup going all-turbo

Kia’s Stonic lineup now starts from $25,460 before on-road costs for the entry-level S, which will come standard with a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Previously, the MY24 Stonic S was priced from $22,290 before on-roads for the non-turbo 1.4-litre petrol with six-speed manual, and $23,790 for the optional six-speed auto – driving up the base price by $1670 to $3170.

There’s more kit across the range too, including blind-spot collision avoidance assist, front parking sensors, electric folding mirrors and alloy wheels now standard across the range.

Key upgrades for the mid-spec Sport – excluding its new drivetrain and carry-over equipment from the Stonic S – includes rear privacy glass, climate control and rain-sensing wipers.

The GT-Line picks up all of the above upgrades plus LED tail lights and three-stage heated front seats.

Servicing and Warranty

The 2025 Kia Stonic is backed by the brand’s standard seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

Servicing is required every 12 months or 10,000km, whichever comes first.

It’s understood the Stonic’s 2024 capped-price service costs carry over for 2025.

Safety

The Kia Stonic was awarded a five-star safety rating from ANCAP in 2017, based on testing of the now-defunct Rio upon which it’s based.

However, its safety rating is due to expire in 2025. It’s not yet clear whether it’ll be retested due to the recent upgrades.

Under the assessment criteria at the time, the Stonic scored an overall score of 35.52 out of 37, losing points primarily on frontal offset and pedestrian protection.

There are eight exterior colours available, and all but standard Clear White comes with a $520 premium. Most colours are carried over from the MY24 range.
